Toucan sightings this week on Ambergris
1. There is a Toucan hanging out in the back yard for the last week, likes
sea grapes. First I have ever seen, big yellow bill.
Chris
Berlin saw one flying over Royal Palms as well. Sometimes hurricanes
displace the wildlife as well as people.
2. Kate and I have been watching two Toucans at our house in Mexico Rocks Area.
I guess the storm blew them over , I'm hoping they stay . They seem to
be eating sea grape and palmeto berries. Toucans are poor fliers and Its
probably 30 miles back to the rainforest. I hope they can find food and
shelter here to develop a roost.
